For an adult as much as for a child, seeing an animal in the wild is a delightful and exciting experience!
For many of us the love of the Kruger National Park starts from a very young age. Memories of holidays spent together on long game drives in the back of a kombi, dinners under the highway of stars, and the smell of citronella candles and insect repellent.
Our eyes and hearts opened to this magical place – exploring its dusty roads, asking questions, sharp eyes looking into the long grass for a sighting, sitting quietly and waiting patiently.
“My first trip to the Kruger was so exciting. I couldn’t wait to see the animals! My favorite part was the morning drives – yummy hot chocolate and rusks.
I took photos of the animals with dad’s camera and showed all my friends when I got back to school. These animals are so special and we have to protect them. When I grow up I want to be a ranger”
Matthew, age 8
